Exercise is not only important for keeping the body healthy, but also contributes to a healthy mind. 

A wonderful full body workout this evening. Everything on your own level. A mat is handy. This training is provided by Carina from Personal Body Shape.

Online lecture on life as a refugee in Athens -VIP

You may have heard about a refugee crisis and a major population movement from countries like Syria or Egypt to countries like Germany or Greece. But what happened to these people After this event? How easily do they integrate? Have they integrated at all. What challenges have they overcome and what is their new reality? 

The goal of our lecture is to explore the daily life of people in a refugee camp in Athens with help of a Professional psychologist and also a refugee who has gone through the program. Theodoros Bogeas is an occupational therapist who coordinates the programs in refugee camps and can share with us what their aim is. Melvin is a Syrian refugee who will share with us his experience of going through the refugee camp program.

Online Mindfulness Meditation Training session

As part of the Well-being weeks, you can follow an online Mindfulness Meditation Training session offered by the Student Service Centre. 

Psychologist Bart Oosting will briefly explain something about meditation, and after that you will do one or two meditation exercises. At the end of the 30 minute session there is time to ask questions. 

The sessions will take place online, you can participate via Nestor. When you register you will receive more information by email.

The sessions are open to both Dutch and international students, PhD students are also welcome. The sessions are free of charge.

Online lecture on online profiling for employability - VIP

Who are you? What is your added value? How do you present yourself? Important questions when preparing for a headstart in your future career! During this VIP-event, we will guide you in developing your story of strengths and values and provide you with the knowledge on how to present your story online (through LinkedIn). Our aim is that after this meeting, you will have your story straight and the skills to create an online presence you can be proud of!

Uit je hoofd, in je lijf, BEWEEG! - GSp

Hé jij daar! Hele dagen achter de pc te luisteren zonder te bewegen gaat niet in de koude
kleren zitten. Mocht je toe zijn aan iets anders, klik dan bij ons even aan; dan kom je op een
aangename en andere manier in beweging. En wat beweging met je doet is voor iedereen
verschillend. Het geeft je in ieder geval, ruimte, rust, bewustwording en flexibiliteit. In deze
activiteit kun je op een luchtige speelse en serieuze manier je lijf ontdekken. Je wordt je
bewust van je ademhaling, gedachten, beweging en hoe deze samen gaan.
Vanuit yoga, mindfulness, feldenkrais, aikido willen wij, Jort en Patricia jullie uitnodigen om

The Great VIP Bake Off

Save the date! On Thursday 18th of February, the Social committee will host the Great VIP Bake Off. 

The challenge is to bake cupcakes with a valentine theme. Bake as many as you can, because we would like to donate the cupcakes to the ‘Leger des Heils’. 

You can bake the cupcakes alone or in a duo. Participants will receive a goodie bag with ingredients that will come in handy!

Also, we would like to organize a group chat, so everyone can show how they’re doing and share some ideas. 

The maximum of participants is 25, so make sure to register in time! (And if you will be working in duo’s, please mention both names) 

And last but not least, there are some amazing prizes you can win! The Social committee members will be the judges, so try to bake the best you can!

Training on Mental Health - IFMSA

During this training you will learn about mental health, how you can improve and monitor your own mental health but also what you can watch out for in your surrounding and their mental health. Training will be in English and will be given by Train-NL.
